Maurits dining table
Inspired by the optical intricacies of M.C. Escher and the tradition of marquetry, this dining table challenges the notion that only antique furniture can embody true craftsmanship. Its solid Oak tabletop is inlaid with 222 precisely cut rhombi, crafted from reclaimed Oak staves once part of Chianti wine barrels—each piece carrying subtle traces of its former life. Below, slender iron legs form a delicate, inverted coronation, balancing strength with sculptural grace. The result is a contemporary heirloom—an expressive, one-of-a-kind piece that allows our artisans to honor their mentors’ legacy through hands, material, and time.
